Cara
Willis is one of my closet friends. Today my group of friends has decided to
surprise her with a little get together. Birthdays to me are a big deal because
that's the day one gets the opportunity celebrate life. Life is something that
we all take for granted. The reason why it was so is something that I cherish
is because I was in a serious car accident my senior year in high school. I
totaled the car I was in as well as did some serious body damage on the other
car. I remember getting my god sister and my little brother out of the car
before my car exploded. By the grace of God, the car didn’t; however, the car
was very smoky. During the mist of the car wreck, I literally saw my life past
before my eyes. I knew that very moment will be were my short lived life will
ended. I began to see the “White light”. It was then that I vowed that I would
no longer take my life for granted. I have stopped putting off things until
tomorrow. I have chosen to live my life like it’s my last. Each new day I take
as a blessing from God because I know he is the very reason why I am in
existence today. I wasn’t so perfect that I am guaranteed a second chance, but
he so fit to allow me a second chance. So now I have a new found philosophy “Laissez les
bons temps rouler” “Let the good
times roll”!!!!

Hybrid vs Traditional
In a Hybrid class
one has more responsible. The assignments are similar to a traditional class
with an exception that most are submitted on the web. Personally, upon
registering for this class I had no knowledge as to what I was getting into. If
I had the opportunity to register for a traditional class I would because, for me
it’s a little irritating remembering to submit an assignment at a specific time.
Blogging is becoming a component of the class. I do not particular care for
this element of the class because if feel like my thoughts are exactly that “MY
THOUGHTS”. I really do not care for people to know how I feel about an aspect
of the class. All in all the class is a
new experience.

My personal style of writing
Earnest
Hemingway once stated “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a
typewriter and bleed.” In this
quote, Earnest Hemingway believed that one should take a nonchalant approach to
writing. One simply should sit down and write what he or she feels. Personally, my writing
style is reflective of my day. Today I have been in a very calm and lethargic
mood. One might notice that my sentences
are very boring and straight to the point; however, if I am excited there will
be exclamation points. If, I am angry my choice of words if very harsh and
strong. In my writing, I am free to say
what and however I feel. The freedom of the page is what I love ever so dearly.
I know that a blank page will never desert me, hurt me, or cheat on me. Writing
is my passion. I thirst for the freedom to express myself.
